Accompaniment Service for entrepreneurs

Do you need someone who can guide you in the development of your professional project?

Whether you are about to set up your own business, or already have a business going, here you will find what you are looking for.

As an entrepreneur you will have a team of volunteer mentors that will accompany you in the development process of your business so that you will have the support of someone specialized, so that you do not have to do it alone.

Each entrepreneur, if it is considered appropriate, is assigned a volunteer/mentor with the necessary experience (for example in finance, tax law, marketing, business management, etc.) to reinforce their project and to support it in the resolution of concerns and problems.

Do you want to volunteer?

Accompaniment is the most important non-financial service that Oportunitas can bring to those who need it. Our volunteers exercise their activity with a strong dose of commitment to others, giving their best.

If you want to provide social improvement, we invite you to become part of our mission and to contribute to helping others.

We seek motivated and sensitive volunteers to work with people who are at risk of social exclusion. We look for people who want to accompany our entrepreneurs as they create or consolidate their own company to improve their quality of life.

Using their capacity for analysis and sufficient common sense to evaluate proactively, Volunteers of the Oportunitas Foundation will advise entrepreneurs to see if a micro-business project is developing properly and, above all, if the entrepreneur is improving their quality of life. In other words, it is a question of promoting the social and labor insertion of groups traditionally excluded from the banking sector.

Volunteer Profile and Requirements

Technical specialist:
Make specific short-term interventions to help entrepreneurs develop certain aspects of their business: support in the development of business plans, strategy, marketing, market research, accounting, finance, legal and tax advice, coaching, among other aspects.
Social mentor:
Advise the entrepreneur on a regular basis, which means maintaining a regular interaction with the entrepreneur (weekly, biweekly, monthly, according to the need) to provide constant support. Social mentors are the people that the entrepreneur comes to to share their concerns, results, and concerns. Therefore, the mentor becomes the main link between the entrepreneur and Oportunitas. They can also work to identify weaknesses or problems as well as inform Oportunitas in due time so that we can provide additional support.

The volunteer program of the Oportunitas Foundation includes a wide range of potential entrepreneurs and projects to advise, accompany, and finance. Because of the combination of the variables of the developing project (type of activities to be developed, need of resources, period of maturation, etc.) with the characteristics of different entrepreneurs of the Foundation (socioeconomic, training, attitude, etc.) it is important that each case receives individualized attention and follow-up. An important quality of a good volunteer is his or her ability to adapt and to be flexible.

Technical competencies: The volunteer mentor must have experience or training in self-employment and entrepreneurship (if he/she has had or has his own business, that would be helpful). The technical specialist must be expert in his own area of work (law, finance, taxation, etc.)

Transversal competencies: Empathy, active listening, open mind, interculturalism, result-oriented, collaborative, adaptable, and flexible.
